It is a long time since we posted any News on the Internet - our son, Peter, who does our website has been working away in Thailand commissioning Green Power Station projects. He is home now - hence the update!
A lot has happened since our last News article.......
We have sold lots of horses so we are now presenting what should be our last clearance sale - The "I See Stars" catalogue is now available for you to view, both on our site and as a hardcopy. If you click on the above link, a PDF copy will open in your Browser. For later viewing, simply "Save a Copy".
Some more of our property is to be sold and we must reduce our numbers further still. Lindy is having a baby girls, due 19th April and with Luke, who is now 20 months, she will have her hands full. therefore she will be taking a break from showing for awhile.
Our plans for the future include breeding from a few of our favourite old mares, training horses and continuing with our riding lessons for adults and of course our special children.

Our Golden Anniversary
Bruce and I celebrated our 50 years of marriage on 8th January, 2005. The family gave us a wonderful party with so many of our dear friends there. We have been so lucky to know such wonderful people in our lifetime, mostly through the horse world.
To see people there that span 45 years of my riding teaching was wonderful- even early pupils from our Pony Club days - Gabi Hollows (whose children we now teach), Janine Hingstrom (nee Christie) and then to have such lovely young ladies as Tanya Edwards and Kristie Nicholls from present day lessons.
It was great to see Vickie & Chris Laurie (who had trouble getting home because of the SA bushfires) with Jan Paget, Bruce Flood, Don Miller, Fay Ross & the Littlejohn's from Queensland, Pauline & Rob Fredericks from Perth.
The stallion -
We have had a lot of interest shown in this spectacular horse but no satisfactory sale, mainly due to the continuing drought and the associated uncertainty.
We have put him into work & aim to have a video of him ready for prospective buyers shortly. His movement makes him quite stunning, both led and ridden.
The great advantage of him is that he is registered both Riding Pony and Australian Stock Horse – a great boon as a commercial stallion. He throws great types and at 14.1hh, he can produce ponies or bigger horses, depending upon the mare.
We must now move him on. He is being wasted here as our mares are so closely related to him we have not been able to use him for two years.
We are interested firstly in a sale, or a long term lease with an option to buy.
The legacy on top winning ancestors would be a great boost to any stud and could lift the small or new stud immediately into the “big time”.
Kath Jones has sold her beloved Vashti to Anita Cartisono, who is reviving her riding career with her new horses. Kath is still busy with her family duties and does not expect to be back on the horse scene for another year.
Dana Anderson had a wonderful year her mare ??? in 2004, winning Champion and Supreme ASH at Sydney and taking the double by repeating the performance at Brisbane Royal. She sold her pony mare Marena Showgirl to Katie Quirk, who is now smiling from ear to ear.
Marena Conair made his new owner, Sara Jepperson of Queensland, so happy that the family had to find another Marena pony for the younger sister Kealy. They bought the very well performed Marena Stormy Lass from Therese & Brook Higgins of Toowoomba. Now both sisters are happy - their mother, Julie, tells me she will be contacting us when it is time for a Galloway.
Jarrod Ashbrook has been riding at shows with Lindy for the last year. Recently he took his new horse Marena Outback to his first show - pictured at right. Jarrod won Champion senior Rider at Frenchs Forrest.
Nikki Melross is improving with each outing. She won Reserve Champion Senior Rider at Frenchs Forrest and the Open Pony Hack class at the Morisset Central Coast Hack Show riding Marena Sweet Kiss.
Quote of the Month - "Sport does not build character, it reveals it."
Kindest regards & good luck with your horses
